Suffering - Why is God allowing this ? Following Jesus when life gets rough

Why does God allow suffering ? Why doesn't God intervene and make things right ? Why did God let my loved one die? How can I believe in God when horrible things happen here on earth? Does God exist? Does God care? Is God powerful enough to change things? Then why doesnt he? We find some answers in the story of Lazurus in John 11.
