Hi There!

This week marks the beginning of our Christmas season here at New Life -- a time when we look back to TheArrival of Jesus into our world and look ahead to the opportunities His arrival has afforded us today.

Pastor Nate begins our look at The Arrival by addressing some of the things that Jesus came into our lives to do; namely, to preach good news to the poor.  But what does that really mean?  What if we don't consider ourselves to be poor by economic standards?  What if we are indeed living in destitution?  What would Jesus say to us today?

Jesus' words are so very pointed as they pierce deeply into our human experience.  The fact is that we are all spiritually destitute.  But part of the Good News is that we can receive a greater spiritual wealth than can be described in modern terms.  And when we are rich towards God, we have a peace that surpasses all else.

So what's the first step toward addressing our spiritual poverty?  Watch and see!
